1. Frameleaf Library and the governing license
Frameleaf Library is based on Immich and is an independently maintained modified project. The Library is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPLv3), subject to the applicable source-file and third-party notices. The unmodified full license in the source distribution governs; this notice does not add restrictions to it or substitute a proprietary license.
Canonical source repository: https://github.com/Frameleaf/frameleaf-app
Repository license: the file named LICENSE in that repository’s applicable release or source revision. The repository license is available at https://github.com/Frameleaf/frameleaf-app/blob/fork/main/LICENSE. A moving branch link is not a promise that every deployed or downloaded binary corresponds to its current contents.
Copyright in original Immich code and other contributions remains with the respective copyright holders. Frameleaf owns only the modifications and materials it actually owns or has acquired. Preserve inherited notices and identify modified material and relevant dates as required by the applicable license. Do not add an “or later” license option to material unless its applicable grant authorizes that option.
2. Your open-source rights
You may use, study, modify, convey and provide commercial services using Frameleaf Library to the extent permitted by AGPLv3 and applicable law. You do not need a Frameleaf Cloud subscription merely to exercise those rights. A competing hosted service is not prohibited by this notice simply because it competes with Frameleaf. The applicable license, not Frameleaf’s commercial Acceptable Use Policy, governs your independently operated covered software.
Those rights do not include free use of Frameleaf’s relay, storage, GPUs, paid APIs, billing systems or support. A software license also does not automatically grant trademark rights. A dispute over paid services does not revoke independently granted AGPL rights or authorize withholding source in violation of the license.
3. Source delivery and network use
For covered binaries that Frameleaf distributes, it will provide the source and accompanying materials required by the applicable license through an appropriate release-specific source offer. A source offer must identify the corresponding release or commit and include required build, installation and related materials, not only an unrelated development branch.
Where Frameleaf operates a modified AGPL-covered program for remote users, it will provide the network source offer required by that license. This does not imply that Frameleaf currently hosts customers’ operational Libraries. Other operators are responsible for their own applicable license obligations when modifying, conveying or making covered software available for network interaction.
Frameleaf’s commercial Terms do not condition a required no-charge source offer on purchase, a confidentiality agreement or acceptance of additional proprietary restrictions. A repository label alone does not decide whether a component is legally independent or part of a covered combined work.
4. Cloud and mobile components
Frameleaf Cloud’s separately implemented services and the independently developed native Applications are offered under their applicable commercial terms except where an open-source license governs a component. Any Library-side integration that is legally part of an AGPL-covered work remains governed accordingly. Describing an API, connector or server as proprietary does not remove a license obligation that actually applies to it.
Each release must include the notices, license texts and any source offers required for its actual dependencies. The Open-Source Notices available with an Application govern those components over a conflicting proprietary EULA. No representation is made here that a code-provenance audit has been completed or that a generated API client is automatically outside copyright or copyleft obligations.
5. Immich attribution and independent status
Frameleaf gratefully acknowledges the Immich developers and contributors. Frameleaf Library includes their work and subsequent modifications and is not an official Immich release.
IMMICH is a third-party trademark. All rights in that name and associated logos remain with their respective owners. Frameleaf makes no ownership claim to those marks.
Frameleaf, Inc., Frameleaf Canada Inc., Frameleaf Library, Frameleaf Cloud and the Frameleaf Applications are not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by or officially associated with FUTO or the Immich project. Plain-text references identify software origin or compatibility and do not imply sponsorship or an official commercial relationship. Support and commercial commitments for Frameleaf products are provided by the Frameleaf entity identified in the applicable agreement, not by FUTO or the Immich project.
Frameleaf’s official product, website, app-store and marketing branding will not use the IMMICH logo. Required copyright and license notices remain preserved. This notice does not purport to license a third party’s marks or impose additional restrictions on AGPL-covered code.
6. Frameleaf marks and truthful references
The Trademark Policy sets out permissions for truthful references, logos, redistribution and independent services, and explains how to request additional permission. It preserves applicable open-source rights and uses permitted by law.
Frameleaf, its logo and associated branding identify Frameleaf products and services. No permission to present a modified distribution, unrelated hosting provider or commercial service as an official Frameleaf product is granted merely by access to source code. Do not use confusing branding or imply endorsement where none exists.
Truthful references such as “based on Frameleaf Library” or “compatible with Frameleaf Library” may identify origin or compatibility without claiming official status. Preserve required attribution and use distinct branding for a modified distribution or independent commercial service. This policy does not prohibit lawful comparative statements, criticism, nominative use or other rights that cannot be restricted, and is not a software-use restriction added to AGPLv3.
7. Contributions and questions
Contributions to the Library are governed by the contribution process actually published for the repository and the applicable code license. This notice does not assign a contributor’s copyright or create an unexecuted contributor license agreement. Employee and contractor ownership is addressed by their actual written agreements.
